Dan Orlovsky Makes Wild Racial Slur Joke About Cleveland Browns QB Joe Flacco

There’s no denying the fact that Joe Flacco has been an absolute revelation for the Cleveland Browns.

Flacco came off the couch to go 4-1 in five starts for Cleveland with 1,616 yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

He’s helped lead Cleveland to a playoff spot in the NFC and the Browns look like a legitimate Super Bowl contender with him at the helm.

Dan Orlovsky Makes Risky ‘Cracker’ Joke About Browns QB Joe Flacco

But sometimes the praise can go a little too far. That’s what happened to ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky on Thursday night.

Orlovsky quote tweeted a previous tweet of his that read “greatest cracker of all-time” with a picture of a sesame cracker attached. But this time, in the quote tweet, Orlovsky simply wrote “Joe Flacco?”

The insinuation, of course, was that Flacco is greatest cracker (a term occasionally used as a racial slur) of all-time.

It was an absolutely hilarious tweet. But also probably a bit further than ESPN would like Orlovsky to push the boundaries.

“HR finna have a talk with you tomorrow Dan,” one person replied.

While another said “these sports analysts been pushing the line hard lately.”

Thankfully for Orlovsky, most people seemed to take the joke in good stride. And it’s still up, so he doesn’t seem to be stepping back from the take.

But it’s definitely bordering on what ESPN HR probably allows.

His tweet may have also cursed Flacco. The Super Bowl winning QB threw for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns in the first half against the Jets.

But he struggled mightily out of the half. The 38-year-old completed just two passes for 12 yards after the break.

So Orlovsky may well want to walk back his tweet. But not for the reasons that some of us initially anticipated.
