Dana White Explains How He’s Going To Fix Boxing With New League

Dana White is here to fix boxing. On Wednesday, it was announced that White and WWE’s Nick Khan had teamed up with Turki Alalshikh to form a new boxing league.


Turki Alalshikh and TKO have signed a multi-year partnership to establish a new boxing promotion with executive leadership anchored by UFC President Dana White and WWE President Nick Khan. The new promotion will feature:

🥊 A highly structured system to develop new talent from around the world, including athlete combines and academies
🥊 Access for all boxers to the UFC Performance Institute, the world’s leading combat sports performance training, research, rehabilitation, and nutrition center
🥊 TKO’s production, media, and promotional expertise to deliver both in-arena experiences and top-tier, state-of-the-art broadcasts to fans around the world

While speaking to the media, White provided his vision for the new boxing league.

“The best fight the best. You work your way up the rankings…

“You don’t need 3 letters in front of the belt. Whoever has that belt is the best in the world in that weight class.”

While speaking to the AP, White explained why he partnered with Alalshikh on the new boxing league.

“I like taking things are that broken, can’t be fixed and I’m going to fix them,” White said.

Alalshikh hinted that September would be the debut of the new boxing league.

White will likekly provide more details on the new boxing league later this weekend during UFC 313.
