UFC CEO Dana White apparently had no idea that Jake Paul was competing with the UFC this weekend.

On Saturday night, Paul will take on 39-year-old former boxing champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Anaheim, California. Paul’s fight will compete with the UFC 317 fight card featuring Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira.

Ahead of UFC 317, White was asked about his thoughts on Paul competing with the UFC on the same night, and he did not sound worried.

“I didn’t even know he was fighting. That’s how concerned I am about it, I didn’t even know.’

White did concede that the Paul vs. Chavez Jr. fight was an interesting one.

Paul believes that a win over Chavez Jr. puts him on the path to a championship.

“Five years ago, I stepped into the ring for my pro debut after 1 amateur fight, and every fight since has been a step towards becoming world champion. I just defeated the baddest man on the planet and broke multiple records, and now I’m going against a former world champion with 54 wins who Canelo could barely beat.”
