Daniel Cormier has responded to Jon Jones’ scathing Instagram message with one of his own, telling Jones to “go do some coke” and much, much more.
In case you missed it earlier today, Jones went scorched earth on Cormier talking about his “fake belt” and that “the illusion you’ve built is crumbling,” among other things.
Wasting little time, or subtlety, Cormier shot back at Jones, dropping all sorts of visceral bombs on the former champ, complete with a little slide show on Instagram.
So here we go again Jonny boy. First off, if you did nothing wrong and were ‘innocent’ then you’d have never been suspended. You’ve had to stand before these people and arbitrators so many times it’s insane. So you slipped again, how many times can one man slip? I’ve been tested 70 times and I haven’t slipped once. How do you explain that? And on top of all the cheating you’ve done around UFC 182, UFC 200 and UFC 214 that’s not even the straw that broke the camel’s back. You are actually a SNITCH! You think you’re the only one that’s been offered this deal? No, you’re just the only scumbag low enough to take it! Which one of your teammates did you tell on to get this joke of a punishment from USADA! I thought there was nothing lower than a cheater but it’s not surprising that you show me a whole new level. You’re a cheater and a SNITCH! Get off my page and go do some coke, or steroids or whatever you losers do in your spare time.
Ouch, babe. That’s got to hurt.
Jones will be eligible to return to the UFC Octagon in October since his suspension was cut short by the USADA (the bone of contention which led to Jones’ terse message to Cormier). However, last we heard, (a) Cormier wasn’t interested in a third fight with Jones, and (b) he was also targeting a big money fight with Brock Lesnar.
All that being said, if Cormier and Jones did want to fight in the next couple of months the groundwork being laid today with the vicious trash talk that’s been taking place they would probably have very little problem selling a whole bunch of pay-per-views for a third fight.
