Dana White’s New Year’s Eve incident is going away anytime soon. Especially now with multiple UFC fighters sharing their input on the situation.

Somehow, some fighters are defining the UFC President, showing their true colors. Meanwhile, guys like Daniel Cormier are proving to be good dudes.

According to MMA Fighting, the UFC Hall of Famer spoke about White’s video, stating, “Dana White was wrong.” Daniel Cormier goes on to say, “And he told you he was wrong. We have long been told our entire lives that we are not supposed to put our hands on women. Dana White himself has gone on record to say, ‘You are not supposed to put your hands on women.’ He understands that, he took accountability immediately.”

Since then, Dana White, the UFC, and Endeavor, a business partner with the organization, have gone incredibly silent. That hasn’t stopped some fighters from defending White though. Some believe that because his wife hit him first that’s okay for Dana to protect himself. Luckily, guys like Cormier and Dustin Poirier exist in the world, as they completely disagree.

With that said, Daniel Cormier blasted those fighters defending the UFC President, per MMA Fighting. “Now, here’s the question, though. In these instances, the one thing you think about first is the family, the children, and the rest of the White family, and if they will get through this. But Dana’s making no excuses for his actions, right? Some fighters are trying to defend him. He doesn’t defend himself. Why should anyone go to defend his actions that he is saying, ‘I was wrong’? Everyone knows that it’s wrong.”

Daniel Cormier nails it on the head here. There really is no reason for anyone to defend Dana White at this point. Perhaps repercussions will come to fruition down the road, as this situation isn’t going anywhere.
