IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois is not bothered by Tyson Fury’s trash talk ahead of his fight against Oleksandr Usyk. On July 19th, Dubois will get a second crack at Usyk for the shot at becoming undisputed heavyweight champion in a fight that will take place at Wembley Stadium and will air live on DAZN PPV.

We were able to sit down with Dubois ahead of his big fight to talk the Usyk rematch, fighting at Wembley Stadium, and a potential match-up against Fury.
Talk to us about Oleksandr Usyk, what do you think of him as a fighter?
“I mean, you just got to look at the guys he’s beaten. He’s proven himself, hasn’t he? He’s done his thing and now it’s really my time to shine. That’s the way I see it. He’s at his time. That’s my time. He’s done it already. He’s made all the glory, the money, everything. So it’s my time now. All right.”
You’ve won three fights since your loss to Usyk. Do you feel like a different fighter now compared to when you faced him?
“I think the difference is massive. We’ve done changed the team up. We’re just ready to go, really. I can’t really say too much more. We’re just ready to go. We’ve covered all the weaknesses, and now I’m a terminator right now, ready to destroy.”
What did you think of Usyk’s performance against Fury?
“It looked like a good fight. Fury ain’t like me. He ain’t got bombs to throw. So it was just like a tip, back and forth fight, close fight. I’m going to make sure that he knows he’s in a real fight. Do justice for myself because I’ve worked really hard from the age of about seven. My dad’s put a lot of work into me, and now I need to prove that by winning these belts. It’s a challenge for me as well, and I can’t wait.”
Fury came out this week and said he would “box your ears off” if you fought him, any thoughts on his comments?
“Listen, it’s good. Someone needs to talk in boxing, so it’s great. Line up a bigger fight for me once. I’ll come through this one, so it’s all good for me. I feel that’s the way fighting should be. I can’t wait. Take all them belts forth and that’ll be the carrot in his face, and he will come back for that, for sure.”
So, you are interested in fighting Fury if you beat Usyk?
“A hundred percent. That’s a mega fight, really, isn’t it?”
@jzosports Daniel Dubois “100 percent” interested in fighting Tyson Fury if he beats Usyk #danieldubois #tysonfury #usyk
People have counted you out throughout your career, does that give you extra motivation?
“No, listen, people always got things to say. Opinions, boxing is full of opinions. So that talk and that sh–, that don’t register with me. That’s neither here nor there. I’m going in there confident and just ready to shock the world, shake the world up, and change the world. We’re going to win all the belts again. I think I’ll be the first undisputed British boxer since Lennox Lewis. So this is massive. This is everything for me.
