Tonight is the Champions Dinner at Augusta National Golf Club. As is tradition, the most recent winner of the Masters tournament gets to pick the food that will be served. That is a tall order, because you want to serve the food you really want eat, but you also don’t want to piss off some of the greatest golfers the world has ever known and Mike Weir. So you kind of have to choose something that everyone can eat. Which sucks.
This year, Danny Willett got to make his picks and it isn’t that his Masters Champions Dinner menu is PURE SHIT, it is just that it is very boring. Dude starts off with a miniature pot pie and then he rolls into a main course that’s basically the “meat option” at every budget wedding. To finish it off, he serves an apple crumble and vanilla custard with “house blend” coffee or tea. BLAH. That said, I’m sure the chefs will cook the shit out of the food and it will be light years better than the shit you would be served at a banquet hall, but still…BLAH.
I don’t really know what else there is to say here and want to end this on a positive note by saying the menu could be worse, but I don’t think it can.
