Darrelle Revis Appeared To Quit On Derrick Henry’s Game-Clinching First Down Run

The Kansas City Chiefs blew a 21-3 lead to the Tennessee Titans in today’s wildcard playoff game to end another disappointing season for Kansas City.

At the end of the game it seemed like several Chiefs players decided to quit while the Titans were on offense in the final few minutes. Here is a video posted by NY Daily News writer Manish Mehta that appears to show cornerback Darrelle Revis just giving up on Derrick Henry’s game-clinching first down run.

Revis played in five games with the Chiefs this season, starting two and picking up 10 tackles in those games. It was the first time since the 2010 season that Revis didn’t come away with at least one interception.

Revis’ former teammate Brandon Marshall believes the Chiefs corner back should probably retire if that’s the type of effort he’s going to put out in a playoff game.

Tony Dungy also ripped Revis for quitting and called his effort “cowardly”.

This is not a good look for Revis and the Chiefs even though he probably didn’t have a chance in hell to stop Henry there.
