Barstool’s Dave Portnoy will no longer appear on Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff.

On Friday, The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand reported that Portnoy was removed from Big Noon Kickoff. Marchand says that Fox Sports hasn’t been able to figure out how to work with Barstool Sports.

Dave Portnoy and Barstool Sports will no longer be appearing on Fox Sports’ “Big Noon Kickoff,” according to sources briefed on the decision who were not authorized to speak publicly.

Portnoy and fellow top Barstool personalities, like Dan “Big Cat” Katz have been a part of Fox’s college football program for a little more than a year.

As for the abrupt timing of the decision, those sources said there was no smoking gun other than that the constant challenge of trying to unite Fox Sports’ more traditional show with Barstool’s persona proved unsustainable.

Portnoy reacted to the news by blaming Ohio State’s Ryan Day for lobbying the Big Ten to get him off the show.

Ohio State and Ryan Day b-tched and moaned to the Big 10 and threatened Fox till they had no choice. Juice wasnt worth the squeeze amd frankly I dont blame them. Huge dollars at stake and you have Cryin Ryan throwing temper tantrums amd making threatsevery few days on something I said. I always knew Ryan Day was soft but holy shit even I didnt realize he was this soft 😂 #Goblue

The Barstool College Football will continue on. Maybe we’ll even see you in Columbus where contrary to popular belief most fans love the rivalry and arent pussies like Cryin Ryan
