It hasn’t even been a week since LIV Golf superstar Bryson DeChambeau nearly decapitated himself while trying to duck under a spectator rope. The initial footage of Bryson getting clotheslined was funny enough but then an alternate angle emerged that made it straight-up hilarious. Now, President’s Cup captain Davis Love III has added a tertiary element that’s made Bryson look even more foolish!
In order to really appreciate what Davis Love III is doing below, you need to rewatch the Bryson DeChambeau clip. Thankfully, we’ve got you covered there. Here’s Bryson acting like he just got shot on the battlefield:
@NoLayingUp possibly the funniest and most dramatic thing I’ve ever seen on a golf course. Bryson vs a gallery rope. Wow! pic.twitter.com/ayRrwQ2Qrq

After a few days of the golf world laughing at Bryson DeChambeau, this clip of Davis Love III has made the entire story even funnier.
Here is Team USA President’s Cup captain Davis Love III sliding under the ropes WHILE DRIVING A GOLF CART with silky smooth ease:
Davis Love III can drive a golf cart, reach to the other side, lift the rope & drive under it without issue. Bryson can’t even walk at 1 MPH under the rope, without running into it. LIV Golf makes players soft AF! https://t.co/mxuvByl0LX pic.twitter.com/j1E8UcMyBG

There’s no evidence that Davis Love III did this specifically to embarrass Bryson DeChambeau but many (myself included) are choosing to believe this narrative. It’s simply too much of a coincidence to not be intentional.
Many agree:
WTF?! Was that camera shot of Davis Love going under the rope a backhand shot at Bryson?! @PresidentsCup I demand answers

It appears as if Davis just wanted to show how easy it is to NOT embarrass yourself in front of a huge audience. And he did so with ease and aplomb. Hopefully, Bryson is somewhere taking notes.
Side note: the crowd at the President’s Cup was WEAK on Thursday
My colleague Clay noted yesterday how side-by-side images emerged showing the crowd at the President’s Cup compared to the Ryder Cup. Many are saying this is the LIV Golf effect:

Surely the weekend crowds will be bigger, right?
