DeAndre Hopkins could soon be pairing up with Super Bowl winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes, at least if the pass catcher has it his way.
On Monday, the receiver sent a subtle message congratulating the Chiefs’ signal caller after his Super Bowl win. Many fans believe it’s his way of convincing Kansas City to bring him in for the 2023 campaign.
Hopkins has been linked to the Chiefs this offseason as the Cardinals look to unload the wideout before next year. In fact, Kansas City has been considered a front runner to land his services should he be dealt from Arizona.
And what an addition that would be for Andy Reid and Co.
DeAndre Hopkins, despite missing time with a suspension, hauled in 64 passes for 717 yards last year. He’s been highly productive as a pro, tallying six 1,000-yard seasons in stints with the Cardinals and Texans.
Over his 10 seasons, the former first-round pick has racked up an incredible 11,298 yards, and he’s proven himself to be one of the league’s best options in terms of bringing down contested catches.
Should he join the Chiefs’ offense in 2023, it would give Patrick Mahomes yet another receiving threat to join the likes of Travis Kelce, Kadarius Toney, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Skyy Moore.
On Monday, DeAndre Hopkins made his pitch in a congratulatory message to Mahomes.

Fans immediately commented on the tweet.
One person wrote, “DHOP to the Chiefs.”
Another said, “Come on to the kingdom, Nuk.”
This person expects to see Hopkins in KC, replying, “You’ll get to see firsthand next year.”
DeAndre Hopkins would provide the Super Bowl champs with another weapon on offense. We’ll find out this offseason whether or not DHop’s pitch to join the Chiefs works.
