The Colorado football team held its annual Pro Day event on Friday for a national audience. The scouting session was aired live on NFL Network for viewers to enjoy.

Deion Sanders did his part to spotlight his program yet again as his professional prospects prep for the next level. Representation from all 32 NFL teams was on hand to evaluate many of the Buffs’ stars, most notably Coach Prime’s son, Shedeur Sanders.

Most everything went smoothly for those Colorado players. Sanders connected on 58 of his 63 attempts as he looks to solidify his draft standing. Travis Hunter took some reps at wideout, but stayed mostly on the sidelines given his Top 5 outlook.

Others were in attendance, too, including Jimmy Horn Jr., Will Sheppard, LaJohntay Wester, LaVonta Bentley, and Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig. Shedeur’s older brother, Shilo, also participated.

At one point in the action, Deion Sanders was seen approaching an NFL scout speaking to Shilo and his position group ahead of what looked to be a 40-yard dash drill. The coach confronted the scout while telling his team to disregard any advice given by the unidentified talent evaluator.

The scout seemeed to be giving instruction on starting stance and position. Sanders disagreed. “Y’all start how y’all want to start,” he said. “[Expletive] this man here. Do y’all’s thing. Do what you all do.”

The players have been prepping for this moment for months this offseason. Deion Sanders didn’t want them to change anything on the day of event.

Deion Sanders Jr. further broke down the situation with a reply to the TikTok video now circulating social media. It seemed to confirm Coach Prime’s displeasure with the advice being given.

“He was talking about u can’t use the white line bu u can… u can take up all the white line as u want.”

It’s unclear which NFL team the scout was working with, though the logo on his hat looked similar to that of the Denver Broncos. He didn’t have much of a response to Deion Sanders’ criticism.

Colorado players were showcased at the Pro Day session. We’ll soon see how their draft stock was affected.
