Fans across college football have been excited to see what Deion Sanders can make happen at Colorado as he takes on the next challenge in his coaching career.

Unfortunately, there are some that aren’t particularly pleaded with his decision to leave Jackson State.

There have surprisingly been a number of people that have been critical of Sanders’ decision to leave Jackson State after 3 years in charge of the program.

Yesterday, Sanders responded to those who are critical of his decision to take the job at Colorado.

Everything I said I would do, I did. Everything I said I wanted to happen, I tried my darndest to make happen. We’ve exceeded expectations in some realms, but when I don’t fit into someone else’s plan and purpose, now there’s ridicule.

I don’t really understand why anybody would have an issue with Sanders heading to Colorado. He really couldn’t have done more for Jackson State over the past 3 years. The Tigers went 4-8 the year before Coach Prime took over. They’ve only lost 2 games in the last 2 years and are expected to complete an undefeated season today.

He even put his own money into the program to improve their facilities.

He shouldn’t be maligned for taking a massive pay raise and moving on to a bigger challenge after doing so much for the Jackson State program in just a few years.

Sanders has done his part for Jackson State and got the university a ton of national attention it would have never had without him.

He has earned the chance to make big money at Colorado and see what he can accomplish in the PAC-12.
