Colorado Buffs head coach Deion Sanders is going through a tough time to end the season.

After going 3-0 to start the season, the Buffs have gone 1-7 and have lost 5 straight games.

On Friday night, the Buffs were completely embarrassed by Washington State and lost by 42 points.

While speaking to the media, Sanders admitted that the team’s current losing streak is the “toughest” stretch of his life.

“This is the toughest stretch of probably my life,”

Despite being down 35 points at the half, Sanders says he’s proud that his team competed in the second half of the game.

“I challenged them to go out there and stand up for themselves, for their family, for the name on the front and the name on the back,” Sanders said. “I challenged them to stand up for that, and they responded. They didn’t lay down. They went out there and fought, so I’m proud of them. I really am.”

Unfortunately, Coach Prime says the team hasn’t found their identity yet.

“It’s not who we are. We are still trying to figure out our identity, figure out who we are,” Sanders said. “After all these weeks, I still don’t know.”
