Deion Sanders is already establishing his expectations for his son, Shedeur, and Travis Hunter Jr. in next year’s NFL Draft. They will refuse to play for teams that he does not want them to play for.
Sanders threatened to “pull an Eli.”
His comments, which were made on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, also pertain to his eldest son Shilo. However, the conversation mostly revolved around Shedeur and Hunter, who are likely to be drafted in the first round. If not the first, than the second. It depends on how things go this fall.
Coach Prime predicts that Hunter and Shedeur are both going to be top-four picks in April 2025. He firmly believes that one of the two will be drafted first. The other will not slip past four.
Sanders put a caveat on that declaration. If one (or all) of the teams that he does not want to draft them is picking in a top-four spot and plans to pick either Hunter or Shedeur, that will not happen.

To “pull an Eli” refers to Eli Manning. Archie did not allow for the Chargers to draft his son with the No. 1 overall pick in 2024. They simply refused to play for San Diego.
As a result, Manning was traded to the Giants shortly after being drafted first overall in exchange for Philip Rivers and a third-round pick. That deal was in place prior to the draft.
