The 2023 NFL Draft may have ended, but the buzz around potential trades continues to heat up.

One of the hot topics in recent days has been the Denver Broncos‘ wide receivers, Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton, with several NFL teams expressing interest in acquiring one or both of these talented players.

During the second day of the draft, the Broncos made a move to secure wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. in the second round, prompting a few phone calls from other teams. Many wondered whether this was a sign that the Broncos were willing to part with Jeudy or Sutton, but according to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, the team was still looking for a premium for both players.

Specifically, Denver was reportedly seeking a first-round pick for Jeudy and a second-round pick for Sutton. While this may seem like a steep asking price, it’s not surprising given the talent and potential of these two receivers.

In fact, Jerry Jeudy has already made a name for himself in the NFL. He was the Broncos’ first-round draft pick in 2020, selected 15th overall, just two spots ahead of Dallas Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb. Jeudy showed promise in his rookie season, finishing with 856 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

But Jeudy wasn’t done yet. In 2022, he set a career-high in catches with 67 for 972 yards and six touchdowns. These impressive stats helped earn him a fifth-year option, which the Broncos reportedly picked up, ensuring that he will remain under contract through the 2024 season.

Courtland Sutton is also a talented receiver, though he has had a slightly more up-and-down career so far. In 2019, he had over 1,000 receiving yards and six touchdowns before missing most of the 2020 season due to injury. Sutton bounced back in 2021 and 2022, but his production has not yet reached the same level as before his injury.

Despite this, Sutton remains a valuable asset for the Broncos, and it’s not hard to see why other NFL teams would be interested in acquiring him. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen whether the Broncos will be willing to part ways with either Jeudy or Sutton, especially given their asking prices.
