The Denver Broncos struck gold over the offseason by adding Russell Wilson to the roster.

After missing out on the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes, Denver made the aggressive move to add another proven playmaker under center as they hope to climb the standings in the AFC West.

Denver was the only team in the division last year to not make the playoffs.

In order to compete with the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Derek Carr, and Justin Herbert, the Broncos needed to add star power at quarterback. They’ve done just that with the addition of Wilson.

Wilson brings with him nine Pro Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl ring to the Mile High City. He’s been one of the top performers at the position since his coming into the league in 2012.

Now, he’ll try to mimic that success with his new club as the team and its followers get ready for 2022.

Those fans got their first chance to see their new signal caller in uniform on Monday with Wilson taking part in his first offseason practice. Take a look.

Wilson was the headliner of the team’s opening minicamp session, taking snaps under center during walk throughs.

He was also seen throwing a few darts to new wide receiver Courtland Sutton. This should be connection Broncos fans get used to in the coming months.

The Broncos find themselves in a much better situation at quarterback heading into the 2022 season. We’ll see if the addition of Russell Wilson can help them find a spot in the NFL playoffs next year.
