Titans running back Derrick Henry was ready to fight the entire Carolina Panthers sideline after a big hit on his backup during Sunday’s NFL game in Nashville. The 29-year-old bruiser wanted ALL the smoke!

It went down just before halftime.

Will Levis left Tyjae Spears out to dry on a high-arching pass into semi-triple coverage on 3rd-and-4. Tennessee’s rookie ball-carrier had two defenders at his rear with a step on them both.

What Levis neglected was the safety.

Xavier Woods was coming downhill at full speed and proceeded to lay a huge slobberknocker hit on Spears, who needed a moment to gather himself before returning to his feet. He got licked.

The nearest official initially called a penalty. However, upon further review, the flag was picked back up.

It was a clean hit. A big hit, but a clean hit.

Even though there was nothing illegal about the big collision, Henry was furious. He did not appreciate how Woods targeted his backfieldmate and decided to be vocal with his disgruntlement.

At 6-foot-3, 250 pounds, it is ill-advised to try and fight Derrick Henry. That will not go well for the challenger.

Fortunately, nobody tried.

Henry went over to the Carolina sideline and started jawing. His offensive line tried to push him back, but he just kept coming and just kept running his mouth.

There has been a lot of talk throughout the season about Spears one day replacing Henry— perhaps even sooner than later. Despite all of the outside chatter surrounding the running back position in Tennessee, it does not appear as though there is any ill-will between the two!

Henry was fully prepared to fight the entire Panthers team after Wood’s big hit on Spears. That’s love.

And if Carolina had tried, they would have lost. Henry is the last person you want to see on the other side of a scrum.
