Derrick Henry May Actually Be On The Trade Block In Latest Titans Rumors

The NFL rumor mill is in full swing with the free agency window opening soon. From the sounds of it, the Tennessee Titans could be looking to make a big trade.

With a new general manager in charge, rumors suggest the franchise is shopping around superstar running back Derrick Henry.

According to Michael Silver, “Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry, Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey and Arizona Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins are among the players who’ve been shopped in recent days.”

Silver claims that trade talks have been rampant at the combine. Earlier reports already indicated that Ramsey and Hopkins are potential trade options for their respective teams.

However, this rumor regarding Henry and the Titans is completely new.

We’ll see what comes of it. Tennessee is facing a potential rebuild and there are a lot of rumors surrounding the organization right now.

Considering the state of the current roster, this team could be looking to regain more cap space and draft capital.

Trading Derrick Henry, “would incur a dead-cap hit of $10.1 million in 2023, while saving about $6.2 million, the price the acquiring team would be responsible for picking up,” per USA Today.

So, we’ll see what comes of it. The Titans very well could blow things up and start from scratch. That’s especially true with the number of holes on the roster.

Look for more rumors regarding Derrick Henry to potentially pick up steam. There are plenty of playoff contenders that should be interested in possibly acquiring the superstar running back.
