Watch Deshaun Watson Donate His First Game Check To Texans Employees Affected By Hurricane Harvey

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson surprised many with his play on the field in his first three NFL games. But this week, Watson surprised three women with his generosity off the field. Watson donated his first game check to Texans employees who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. Last month, the three women who work at the team cafeteria lost all their possessions after Hurricane Harvey devasted their homes in the Houston area.

The excitement of a rookie player receiving their first NFL check must be off the charts and for Watson, his first check must have brought him extreme amounts of pride, especially since it helped three people in need. Watson has a base salary of $465,000 and donated his first check, which is worth $27,353. “For what you all do for us every day and never complain, I really appreciate you all, so I wanted to give my first game check to y’all to help y’all out in some type of way,” Watson told the women who work in the NRG Stadium cafeteria. The Texans rookie quarterback is already impressing so many people on and off the field.
