Deshaun Watson’s short time in Cleveland has been an overwhelming disappointment so far. To make matters worse, his apparent attitude certainly doesn’t help his image.

Watson was traded from the Texans to the Browns in exchange for three first round picks, a third round pick and two fourth round NFL Draft picks in March of 2022. Meanwhile, multiple sexual assault allegations and lawsuits loomed over the former No. 12 overall selection and three-time Pro Bowler.

Cleveland chose to acquire the Houston quarterback despite a looming suspension. His time in Ohio has been extremely underwhelming.

Deshaun Watson has completed less than 60% of his passes for just 1,939 yards and 11 touchdowns with eight interceptions in 10 games. He is averaging less than 195 passing yards per game.

The Browns played the Colts on Sunday and Watson played just 12 minutes. A scary hit sent him falling backwards, and caused his head to slam down hard on the turf.

Although Watson was cleared to return after being evaluated, head coach Kevin Stefanski chose to keep him on the sideline. Between the head injury concerns and a shoulder injury that kept him sidelined over the last several weeks, it was in his quarterback’s best interest.

It’s my job to make tough decisions. I just felt I wanted to protect him. Did not want to see him get hit. He was hit hard, and I know he cleared [the protocol] and all that but I just wanted to protect him.

Cleveland went on to win 39-38 behind a 4-for-4 day from Dustin Hopkins, with a long of 58. As a result, the 33-year-old kicker received a game ball for his performance.

The entire team was fired up as Stefanski handed out accolades in the locker room, except for one person. Watson can be seen in the background of the video.

Although he clapped along politely, his face told the full story. Watson was not happy.

It is completely understandable that Watson wishes things had gone differently. However, as a franchise quarterback, such a reaction is pretty unacceptable. He should have at least feigned excitement.
