Detroit Lions center Frank Ragnow could miss the team’s next game after suffering a fractured throat during Sunday’s 31-24 loss to the Green Bay Packers, according to multiple reports.

First things first here,  I think we all learned something new today, a fractured throat is actually a thing. What a fractured throat must feel like is something beyond my wildest imagination and absolutely an injury I hope I never experience in my day. Is there a certain prescription a member of the Lions medical staff will provide Ragnow with? I have no idea. All I know is a fractured throat does not come around often.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport tweeted out his fascination with Ragnow playing through what may be the most bizarre NFL injury we have ever heard of.

And how good of a name is Frank Ragnow for an offensive lineman? Frank Ragnow just sounds like a guy who doesn’t mind battling it out in the trenches of an NFL game. Ragnow’s status for next week’s game against the Titans is uncertain but if there is anybody that will be able to battle through a fractured throat, it’s a guy by the name of Frank Ragnow.

However, the only people who do not seem too impressed with Ragnow playing four quarters with his fractured throat is the Ragnow family itself. Frank’s brother Jack took to Twitter to take a subtle jab at his own sibling.
