DeVante Parker was involved in a scary incident on Monday Night Football as the Patriots took on the Cardinals. The New England wideout suffered an apparent concussion in the first quarter of play.

Unfortunately, no one seemed to notice the wide receiver’s wobbly state. That is, no one but teammate Nelson Agholor, who was able to stop play and get Parker some medical attention.

Now, it’s impossible to catch every concussion, even with the league’s increased emphasis on the issue. But this one was rather obvious. Parker could hardly stand, failing to hold his balance as he attempted to toe the line of scrimmage for the next play.

Luckily, Agholor noticed that there was something off about his fellow Patriot, and he took the initiative to keep him from taking another unnecessary hit. Fans quickly blasted the NFL for the spotter’s delayed response to his injury.

On Tuesday, Parker took his shot at the league.

DeVante Parker ripped the NFL for their mishandling of his concussion.

The pass catcher posted a story to his Instagram page in response to the incident, and he certainly took issue with the reaction time.

“Get on y’all’s f—— job, NFL. Thankful my brother was aware of the situation.”

It looks like both the NFL and NFLPA will be looking into the series of events leading up to the concussion as they try to get to the bottom of the mistake.

It’s not the first time the NFL’s concussion protocol has been under scrutiny this season. Tua Tagovailoa suffered apparent concussions in back-to-back games earlier in the year, leading to a lengthy investigation of the Dolphins and league.

Fans weren’t necessarily happy with the results of those original findings, and something tells me not much will be done in this instance, either. It’s not yet known if DeVante Parker will miss extended time with his injury. At least Nelson Agholor was there to prevent the situation from getting worse.
