Ohio State QB Devin Brown Sets Himself Up To Be Mocked In Ruthless Fashion If He Decides To Transfer

Ohio State quarterback Devin Brown is not going to run from competition. He made that abundantly clear while speaking to reporters on Monday.

Brown, a rising redshirt sophomore, enters the spring practice period as one of three signal-callers who are eyeing the starting job for next season. Lincoln Kienholz will also try to beat out Will Howard.

Howard joins the Buckeyes after four years of college football with the Kansas State Wildcats. It is expected that Ryan Day brought him in through the transfer portal to serve as QB1 this fall— especially with the NIL component that is presumably attached to the move.

However, Brown was a former four-star recruit in his own right and has yet to receive a legitimate opportunity to prove what he can do. Spring ball will give him the chance to play his way into the starting role. Otherwise, it was considered to be a legitimate possibility that he would transfer.

Devin Brown says that is not the case!

When asked about whether he has considered leaving the program, Brown offered a scathing and aggressive response about the people who think that his decision to transfer is imminent. He did not hold back!

Brown’s sharp words back him into a corner. They set him up to be brutally mocked if he does ultimately decide to leave Ohio State down the road.

Even if it is in Brown’s best interest to stand up to the haters, the manner in which he approached his rebuttal was very bold. It leaves him in a position where now, he basically cannot transfer. Choosing to pack it up and seek opportunity elsewhere after bashing the people who said that he wouldn’t do exactly that would be super awkward. Nobody would take him seriously ever again.

Devin Brown is not going anywhere!
