Dez Bryant is coming to the defense of Jaxson Dart.
Last week, Dart shook hands with President Trump, and he introduced him at a rally in New York.
The Giants QB faced immediate backlash and made a statement on Friday afternoon.
“This was a unique opportunity. You know, being asked and allowed to introduce the President of the United States, you know, my thinking was pretty simple. And the fact of, you know, I’ve always loved this country.”
“I also understand in this world, politics can be a sensitive matter, a sensitive topic. I also understand that I am the quarterback of the New York Giants, and that involves a lot of responsibility. It’s under a limelight, under a microscope, and there’s a lot that comes with that, and it’s been something that I’ve embraced.”

Bryant took to social media to defend Dart from critics.
I really don’t understand the hate Jaxon Dart got for introducing President Trump. Good or bad..if you support Trump or not..you’re in a lose lose situation. Politics and religion are difficult for sports. Folks have the right to believe in whatever the fuck they want.
I don’t…
