Video of the 22-year-old Chicago White Sox fan who got tossed out of Tuesday’s game between the Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks being confronted by D-Backs manager Torey Lovullo has been uncovered. There is also video of the “fan” being removed from the ballpark by security.
During the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-1 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday, June 24, second baseman Ketel Marte was brought to tears after a fan yelled something about his mother, who passed away in a car accident in the Dominican Republic in 2017.
Given that Marte was able to hear the fan, so was the Diamondbacks bench, which led to manager Torey Luvollo confronting him from the dugout.
“Dumb f—! His mom died, you dumb f—!” Luvollo can be heard yelling while pointing into the crowd. Luvollo and another coach could then be seen instructing MLB personnell on where in the crowd the abuse was coming from.
Additional video also showed the fan, which The New York Post reported was wearing a Chicago Bears jersey, being removed by security. The fan has now received a lifetime ban from all MLB ballparks.

We were sitting about 7 rows behind home plate, heard bits and pieces of the heckling (had gotten progressively worse over time), saw Ketel Marte become visibly upset, teammates standing up for him, and saw Torey Louvello call for the fan’s ejection. Great job by White Sox security for understanding the gravity of the situation. While it hurt to watch Marte shaken up, it was a good lesson in sportsmanship for others (what we don’t do and what we should not tolerate), and appreciation and maturity of these young players who grieve and have feelings like anyone else. #espn #benverlander #barstoolsports #foxsports

The person who took the videos and shared them on TikTok added further context about what unfolded and commended White Sox security for how they handled it.

The Diamondbacks leave Chicago having won two of three games against the White Sox and will begin a three-game homestand against the Miami Marlins on Friday.
