The Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel scandal has continued to unfold, with the latest discovery being a Spotify that the former ESPN and The Athletic reporter sent the New England Patriots head coach. And not just any playlist, either, but a resoundingly terrible one.
Internet sleuths at FOIAball — which uses the Freedom of Information Act to source football stories — have unearthed a public Spotify playlist titled “TURNIN THE PAGE,” created under Dianna Russini’s account and shared with a user named “Mike” on December 19, 2022 — a date that corresponds with the tail end of a four-game Tennessee Titans losing streak under head coach Mike Vrabel.
A Spotify playlist that Dianna Russini seemingly sent Mike Vrabel admist a Tenessee Titans losing streak has been uncovered and the songs are largely terrible
At the time the playlist — titled “TURNIN THE PAGE” and featuring 18 songs — was created in December 2022, the Titans were mired in a four-game losing streak.
The playlist opens with two songs Beyoncé’s album from Renaissance, then features songs by Latto, Sam Hunt, Tiësto and the Black Eyed Peas, before transitioning into classic rock — P!nk’s “Raise Your Glass,” Papa Roach’s “Last Resort,” Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle,” Def Leppard’s “Photograph,” KISS’ “God of Thunder,” Van Halen’s “Dance the Night Away” — and closes with Styx’s “Renegade.” The playlist is titled “TURNIN THE PAGE.”
