Last night, Hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs made it clear that he intends to put in a bid to buy the Carolina Panthers and become the first majority African-American owner in the NFL after the team’s current owner, Jerry Richardson, announced he will sell the franchise amid sexual harrastment allegations.

In a video posted on Instagram, Diddy says he intends to sign Kaepernick so that he could compete for the team’s starting quarterback position if he buys the team.

I’m not sure Diddy knows that the team already has a franchise quarterback who is a former MVP and is still probably one of the best quarterbacks in the league. We’ll have to wait and see if Diddy is even serious about buying the Panthers or if the whole thing is just a PR stunt.
