Diego Sanchez made his debut at BKFC Knucklemania 3 and it was the first time we’ve seen him in action since 2022.

However, the MMA legend wasn’t able to secure a win against Austin Trout. Additionally, he’s not happy with the result, as Sanchez is filing an official claim.

According to Damon Martin, “Diego Sanchez and his team are filing a formal appeal with the New Mexico Athletic Commission seeking to overturn the result in his recent loss to Austin Trout in BKFC over allegations of greasing.”

Sanchez shared a clip on his Instagram account as a way to prove his greasing allegations.

Here is another clip Sanchez shared that appears to show Trout’s corner possibly greasing his shoulders before the fight.

It doesn’t appear that Diego Sanchez has any ill will against Austin Trout though. In fact, the UFC Hall of Famer had nothing but kind words for Trout immediately after the fight.

The New Mexico Athletic Commission is likely going to look into Sanchez’s request. If they believe his greasing allegations hold merit, then they could overturn the ruling of the fight.

For now, though, everything hangs in the balance as they look over Diego Sanchez’s claims. As Damon Martin points out, “the appeal will be filed with hopes to appear before the commission at the next available hearing in March.”

With that said, keep a close eye on Sanchez and Trout, as things could get interesting once March rolls around.
