Dillon Brooks has had quite a few weeks, and not in a good way. The Memphis Grizzlies forward has made a fool of himself in front of the entire nation.

Those incidents are exclusive to the last few weeks, though. Dillon Brooks has a reputation as a dirty player and someone who can’t shut his mouth that precedes the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

Dillon Brooks averaged 14.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists for the Memphis Grizzlies this year as they earned the second seed in the Western Conference. Couple that with the 6-foot-7 wing’s good defense, and, in a vacuum, he is a good player.

But, he is always running his mouth. He got in a fight with Donovan Mitchell earlier in the year.

Later, it was a spat with Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green. Of course, those have more in common than Draymond would like to admit.

But, it was in the playoffs where he made the biggest headlines. After a game two Grizzlies win against the Los Angeles Lakers, Dillon Brooks said he was not impressed with Lakers forward LeBron James. Yes, the same LeBron James that anyone with a brain thinks is a top two player to ever play basketball.

Of course, the Grizzlies lost the next three games in a row, Brooks was ejected from one of them, and he was made into a national laughingstock.

And, on Tuesday, The Athletic NBA scoop-getter and power broker in the hoops media game Shams Charania reported that Brooks would not be returning to the Grizzlies. Dillon Brooks is a pending free agent.

But, Dillon Brooks’ agent had enough and went right at Shams on Wednesday.

Yeah, good luck picking a fight with Shams Charania.
