In case you haven’t heard yet, Domingo Germán has thrown the 24th perfect game in MLB history. The 30-year-old Yankee retired all twenty-seven Oakland Athletics in order Wednesday night in Oakland. He struck out nine on 99 pitches, quite the impressive feat.

He became the fourth New York Yankees pitcher to ever throw a no-hitter, joining Don Larsen, David Cone, and David Wells. Cone typically does color commentary for YES Network, the team-owned network that broadcasts the team’s games. But, he and play-by-play man Michael Kay, as well as radio announcer John Sterling, did not make the trip to the West Coast, which is customary in summer series to the west coast. Instead, Ryan Rucco and Jeff Nelson were on the call. And, here it was.

Speaking of Cone, he tried to alert Boomer Wells to the chance for history for Domingo Germán. My guess is Boomer did not see the game.

Dallas Braden, who threw a perfect game in 2010, was on the call for the A’s broadcast. Take a look.

Twitter was ablaze with reactions. Take a look at some of the best.
