Controversy seems to follow Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green whenever he’s on the basketball court. And, even though it was not necessarily his fault this time, the future Hall-of-Famer was involved in quite the controversial play in the team’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The teams were playing in the first group stage game of the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament, and the contest came down to the wire. It was tied at 139, and Golden State had the ball and a chance to win the game.

Chaos ensued, as this Steph Curry basket was waved off for goaltending on Draymond Green, only for the call to be overturned on replay. Take a look.

Referees determined that Josh Giddey had grabbed the net, and that the goaltending was on the Thunder guard instead of Draymond Green. That seems to be the right call, but it was a dramatic scene to watch play out, for sure.

Green had 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, and Curry had 30 points to lead all scorers.

The NBA In-Season Tournament started Friday night and features all 30 teams playing a series of games in six groups of five. The winners of each group, plus the best non-group winner in each conference, will advance to a single elimination tournament. The semifinals and finals in early December will be played in Las Vegas, with the winning players getting $500,000 each.
