Duke catcher Chad Knight might be the most knowledgeable man in college baseball – at least on one particular topic! The senior has a talent not many are likely to match.

Knight can effortlessly recite every World Series winner in MLB history. Of course he can. He is a Blue Devil, after all!

Duke is widely publicized as one of the most difficult universities to be accepted into, boasting a strenuous academic curriculum and a number of highly regarded alum.

The latest undergraduate admissions numbers flaunt an average 1520-1570 SAT score for the most recent incoming class.

Chad Knight is fortunate enough to call himself one of those Duke brainiacs, and he put his knowledge on full display this week.

The Blue Devils baseball team posted a video of the backstop quickly reciting each World Series winner, dating back more than a century!

Check it out.

Impressive!

It’s no surprise the catcher landed a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District III First Team in 2022.

On the field, Knight has played in 119 games since 2020, making 94 starts. Last year, he hit .221 with a pair of home runs playing mostly as a designated hitter while battling injury.

The year prior, he notched a career-high .262 average with 28 RBIs.

The Blue Devils made it to the Super Regionals last season, losing out to ACC rival Virginia. Duke won the Conway regional by taking out host Coastal Carolina before falling just shy of the College World Series.

They’ll try to best that result in 2024.
