The rich may be getting richer according to one notable recruiting analyst. Rusty Mansell recently gave his best guess for where the top signal caller in the 2024 class will land.

That program is one that’s landed multiple five-star passers over the last few cycles. Could another be on the way?

Dylan Raiola out of Arizona is the unanimous choice for top quarterback in the upcoming class. In fact, he’s listed as the top overall player, regardless of position, on three of the four major recruiting sites.

The son of former Nebraska and Detroit Lions lineman Dominic Raiola, Dylan is one of the most sought-after players in the trail. The five-star talent has a list that includes his father’s alma mater, as well as defending champion Georgia, USC, and Oregon.

Most have pinpointed the Bulldogs as the top contender, an assessment that Rusty Mansell agrees with. Here’s what he had to say about Raiola’s recruitment.

“I’ve been doing this long enough to know that sometimes things happen at the end,” Mansell says. “But right now, I do feel like there’s a lot of momentum toward Georgia… There’s a lot of connection with [offensive coordinator] Mike Bobo and his family through Matthew Stafford. Raiola’s dad played with him, that’s well documented. A lot of things, I feel like, are trending towards Georgia.”

Raiola’s dad played with Stafford on the Lions. Stafford, a UGA alum, played under Bobo during his college career.

If true, it would give the Bulldogs yet another headliner in what’s likely to be a star-studded class.

The program is fresh off a pair of national titles, and the Dawgs are the favorite to win it all again next season. They’ll have to replace a number of star players, including starting quarterback Stetson Bennett and a trio of first-round NFL Draft picks.

Securing Dylan Raiola’s commitment would go a long way towards cementing the future under center.
