Dylan Raiola will serve as the starting quarterback at Oregon after an injury to Dante Moore. His girlfriend, Skarlett Jones, is no longer listed on the college softball roster at Nebraska.
Where’d she go?
It appears as though Jones followed the college football quarterback to Eugene. However, she is not currently listed as a member of the Ducks for the 2027 college softball season and it is unclear as to whether she enrolled at the university.
Dylan Raiola started dating his girlfriend at Nebraska in 2025.
Dylan Raiola arrived to Lincoln as one of the top-ranked prospects in the college football recruiting Class of 2024. He enrolled early at the University of Nebraska on January 25, 2024. Matt Rhule named him as the starter as a true freshman.
Raiola started all 13 games for the Cornhuskers in 2024 with a record of 7-6. Even though it was not a perfect season, there were a lot of positives on which to build. Unfortunately, 2025 did not see the improvement Raiola or Nebraska had hoped. The Huskers went 6-3 in their first nine games before their starting quarterback broke his leg.
Prior to that point, he started dating a true freshman on the softball team. Skarlett Jones was a two-time all-state player and state champion at Gretna High School.
She enrolled at the University of Nebraska in the fall of 2025. She made three appearances as a true freshman and scored one run against Penn State.
Jones and Raiola hit it off as soon as she got to campus. They started dating at some point during the fall semester. He confirmed their relationship with an official hard launch on Instagram in December. The timing of the launch was especially interesting.
Raiola had entered the transfer portal 10 days prior to the post and later transferred to the University of Oregon. However, he returned to Lincoln to watch Nebraska play in the Super Regional.
The Cornhuskers also played at the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City.
Nebraska expects to compete for a national title again in 2027. It appears as though Jones won’t be on the team.
Did Skarlett Jones quit college softball to enroll at Oregon?
The 2027 college softball season is still more than four months away so there is a lot of time for things to change. As of now, Skarlett Jones is not listed the roster at Nebraska. Nor is she listed on the roster at Oregon. She might be done playing!
Jones traveled to Bandon Dunes with Dylan Raiola in June.
They also spent time on the lake for the Fourth of July.
Jones joined the Ducks for a pilates workout in July.
She posted from Eugene in August.
She was also in attendance for Oregon’s loss to Oklahoma State in Week 2 of the college football season and for Oregon’s win over Portland in Week 3.
I do not have access to the student database so I cannot confirm whether Jones is enrolled at the University of Oregon or if she is just living with Raiola in Eugene. Either way, it does not seem like she is going to play college softball in 2027. We’ll see.
