The Seattle Seahawks are the reigning Super Bowl champions and feature a loaded roster that includes a superstar wide receiver, a strong run game, and one of the best defenses in the NFL.
Apparently, none of that means anything to EA Sports, which brutally disrespected the Seahawks in Madden 27 on multiple levels, and they’re facing severe backlash for doing so.
Not only did the company rank the Seahawks as just the 10th best team in the new game, it also couldn’t even manage to spell Seattle Seahawks correctly on its social media graphic.

NFL Fans Call Out EA Sports Over Ridiculous Seattle Seahawks Rating In Madden 27
The “Seattle Seawhawks” are rated just an 84 overall in the game, a full seven points behind the NFC West division rival Los Angeles Rams, who are the top team at 91 overall.
In total, Seattle is behind four NFC teams, as well as the New England Patriots, whom they defeated in suffocating fashion in Super Bowl LX.
Understandably, fans were furious with the disrespect, and not just Seahawks fans!
“Couldn’t even *spell* the defending Super Bowl champs right,” one fan said of the disrespect.
Meanwhile, another correctly noted that “The Seahawks obliterated the 49ers in the Divisional Round, outlasted the Rams in the NFCCG (one missed field goal from going 3-0 against them last year) and humiliated the Patriots in Super Bowl LX. Madden had put Seattle below all three.”
Make it make sense!
But then again, Madden has been catching heat for years over its player ratings as well. So perhaps EA Sports just doesn’t know ball?
