Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown had some words for his former team, the Tennessee Titans, after the big trade that brought safety Kevin Byard to the Eagles.

A.J. Brown and Kevin Byard had been teammates with the Titans from 2019 to 2021 until the Titans decided to trade Brown away ahead of the 2022 season.

That decision ended up a disaster for Tennessee, as Brown has since played at an All-Pro caliber for Philly, contributing to their Super Bowl run last season.

During a media interview on Friday, Brown shared what he told Byard after they were reunited in Philadelphia via a trade. It came across as a not-so-subtle jab at his old team.

Brown said, “I told him, ‘You’re a winner now. Things are done different around here. But enjoy it and just get up to speed.’ He’s a great player. He won’t have any trouble adapting.”

Since Brown’s departure, the Titans have struggled, posting a 9-14 record and missing the playoffs last year.

Now, they’ve traded yet another Pro Bowl caliber player in Byard to the Eagles.
