NFL Hall of Fame safety Ed Reed recently was hired to be the head coach of Bethune Cookman. Well, things went south when he posted a video talking about the campus.
The former Baltimore Ravens safety wasn’t too happy with the conditions and even threatened to leave since he’s “not even under contract yet.”
Unnecessary Roughness Podcast shared the clip on their social media page. You can listen to Reed sound off on the campus’s conditions. Give it a watch below if you want to see an angry Ed Reed.
Ed Reed is not happy with all the trash littered at Bethune Cookman
“I’m waking out here with the football team picking up trash.”
“I should leave! I’m not even under contract yet”
“They didn’t even clean my office when I got here!”

It’s a bad look when the new head coach gives this much heat to the school before his job even starts. However, Reed did make a formal apology to the school for his reaction and behavior on the video.

Perhaps something positive can come from that video. After putting the school on blast, Reed seems compelled to help make changes to the school and football program. We’ll see how it plays out, as Ed Reed is one of the greatest football players we’ve seen. If he can share some of his knowledge then he could put Bethune Cook on the map.
