A new ESPN poll of 155 NFL players reveals their opinions about the league’s wide-ranging assortment of quarterbacks.
They were asked some unique and very interesting questions such as which QB would they least want on their team, which passer is the most overrated, who is the biggest trash talker, who they’d most like to sack, which one will win the Super Bowl the most in the next 10 years, and which rookie quarterback will have the most success in the NFL.
Let’s begin with which QB players think talks the most trash. Any guesses as to who was voted number one? 26% of the players polled picked this guy…
Cam was followed by Philip Rivers (24%), Aaron Rodgers (17%) and Tom Brady (16%). Literally none of those name at the top of that list are surprising.
As for which quarterback players would most like to sack, well… you can probably guess this one. A whopping 49% of the players polled selected him.
Coming in a very distant second at 14% was Ben Roethlisberger followed by Aaron Rodgers with 10%.
When it comes to which quarterback players would least like to have as a teammate does it surprise anyone that it’s this guy with an overwhelming 42% of the vote?
Cam Newton and Philip Rivers came in second, way behind Cutler with just 6% of the vote.
“I’m not even sure he wants to play,” one player said about Cutler.
The vote for the most overrated quarterback in the NFL was a lot closer than the rest of the categories, but one man stood above the others receiving 14% of the votes.
The rest of the top five were Andrew Luck (11%), Joe Flacco (10%) and then Jay Cutler and Sam Bradford who tied at 7%.
I guess Joe Flacco isn’t ELITE after all.
As for the rest of the categories, Brady got the most votes for winning more Super Bowls over the next 10 years than any other QB and DeShaun Watson blew all the other rookie QBs out the water for which one will have the most successful career.
