Here’s What You Can Expect To See On ESPN With Coronavirus Shutting Down The Sports World

With some serious concerns involved with coronavirus, what we’re going to be able to watch on TV while we all hide away in our homes for the foreseeable future is well down the list of importance, but it’s still interesting to think about how sports-focused channels are going to handle all of this.

With every active sports league outside of the PGA Tour suspending its season at the moment, the question of ‘what the hell is ESPN going to show throughout the day?’ is a legitimate one. While I and maybe two or three other people on the planet wouldn’t mind them turning into a golf-focused network for the time being, John Ourand of Sports Business Journal has the scoop on their programming schedule.

The schedule here is one thing, but with them showing SportsCenter ‘all day and night’ on ESPN, what exactly are these SportsCenter shows going to be about? Is it just going to be a running loop and regurgitation of how the coronavirus is effecting the sports world?

ESPNEWS showing video simulcast of radio shows and re-airing shows like Get Up and First Take is the status quo.

The real question I guess is what are the talking heads actually going to be talking about as the days go by with the sports world essentially shut down?

If you thought ESPN was talking about Tom Brady and NFL free agency too much already? Oh, buckle up.

Connor’s programming schedule sounds much more fun than all of this.
