ESPN’s Monica McNutt has once again rubbed viewers the wrong way.

Earlier this week, McNutt went viral when she criticized Caitlin Clark for not taking accountability for the toxic fan environment in the WNBA.

“Caitlin Clark is 24. She is a shining star in the galaxy of the WNBA. But I do think as she continues to matriculate through this league, there’s room for a little bit more accountability and self-awareness in terms of her role in the larger sisterhood, if she sees it that way, in the WNBA,” McNutt said.

On Friday, McNutt went viral again when she was getting a manicure during a live SportsCenter segment.

McNutt did have several people defending her.

“Sometimes you get the call while you’re out and you make it work. sounds like that’s what happened here. sports reporters work from *anywhere*. That’s the job,” said one social media user.

“She was probably ‘off work’ and then she ‘graciously’ agreed to make an unscheduled appearance on behalf of ESPN.’ commented another.
