Ex-Boise State Football Player Went Full Tyson, Arrested For Biting Off Teammate’s Ear

Details of a former Boise State football player who was booted from the team back in February for violation of team rules came out and, holy shit, this guy went full Mike Tyson—on a teammate!

Dereck Boles, who played defensive tackle for the Broncos, faces a felony charge of mayhem following an incident in which he bit a chunk of ear off a former teammate during a fight, per KTVB.com, which reported this about the incident:

According to Boise police, Boles, 20, was involved in a fight at a home on East Raintree Drive on February 12, in which he bit the ear of the person he was fighting, tearing a portion of the ear off.

The victim had non-life threatening injuries and was treated at a Boise hospital, police said.

A warrant was issued for Boles arrest on April 4. He was arrested on May 9 in Polk County, Florida. At this point, there is no word on if Boles bonded out of Jail, or when an extradition hearing will take place.

Following his dismissal from Boise State, Boles transferred to Coffeyville Community College in Kansas—but he may be playing for a penitentiary football team here soon because this is all sorts of fucked up.

Assuming this whole football thing doesn’t work out, maybe Derek Boles should apply for a competitive food eating job somewhere, because he clearly enjoys gnawing on random shit.
