Ezequeil Carrera made his first start for the Detroit Tigers last night, and he announced his arrival by making an incredible play rivaling anything you’ll ever see from an outfielder.
With the bases loaded and nobody out in the third inning, Jacoby Ellsbury blasted a drive to straightaway centerfield. It looked as though there was no chance Carrera would get close.
And then he dove backwards, reaching out with full extension and hanging on as he crashed into the ground.
