You typically have to shell out a fair amount of cash if you want to attend an F1 race in person, and its grand return to Las Vegas is certainly no exception. With that said, tickets attend that showdown are cheaper than ever in the week leading up to the event.

In 2022, F1 announced it was gearing up to descend upon Las Vegas for a race that will make its way through the streets of Sin City on November 19th.

While this isn’t the first time the organization has held an event there (it hosted a short-lived Grand Prix at Caesars Palace in 1981 and 1982), the fact that the sport is more popular than it’s ever been in the United States meant there was a ton of hype surrounding the rebooted race.

Hotels wasted no time jacking up their prices in anticipation of the influx of spectators who were expected to flock to Las Vegas for race weekend. That increased the barrier to entry for an affair that already boasted a fairly prohibitive ask, as the minimum price of entry to the grandstands for all three days was around $2,000 when tickets initially dropped.

However, according to CNN, those numbers have slowly but surely fallen as the race has gotten closer, as ticket data shared by TickPick shows a three-day grandstand pass can now be secured for closer to $1,000 (down from the approximately $1,650 they were going for in mid-October).

As the outlet notes, the drop in demand could stem from Red Bull phenom Max Verstappen securing his third consecutive Formula One championship with a second-place victory at the Qatar Grand Prix to continue a truly absurd season where he’s won 17 of the 20 races he’s competed in.

While $1,000 still isn’t “cheap” by any means, based on how things are currently trending, there’s a chance that number could get even lower in the coming days. It’s worth noting tickets for practice and qualifying sessions have also dropped, as single-day tickets are respectively hovering around $120 and $250 as of this writing.
