Luckiest Family In The World Randomly Discovers Ty Cobb Cards In A Paper Bag That Are Worth Over $1 Million

Some lucky souls who have wisely chosen to remain anonymous have been gifted with an unexpected golden parachute that came in the form of baseball cards. Specifically, Ty Cobb baseball cards. SEVEN of them. And they’re reportedly worth over $1 million.

How ridiculous is this? A million bucks apparently just sitting in some random paper bag at the house of a deceased great-grandfather.

The best part, aside from the shower of money, might be what the cards say on the back: “Ty Cobb — King of the Smoking Tobacco World.” Something tells me such racy copy wouldn’t fly so well today with the overly sensitive, and always health conscious, PC Police.

The worst part, however, is probably this quote:

Experts who spoke to the AP variously described the finding as “spectacular,” miraculous,” “remarkable,” “almost impossible,” and “one of the greatest discoveries in our hobbies.”

Try and keep your pants on, fellas. They’re just baseball cards in a paper bag.

Nonetheless, it must be nice.
