A lucky college basketball fan is going viral after winning a putting contest on the court. The attendee sank an incredible 94-foot shot in front of a crowd full of raucous viewers.

The putt actually won this fan a free car, and it’s getting a ton of attention online.

The on-court promotion came in a recent rivalry matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers. This Auburn fan was brought down to the floor during an intermission and was asked to attempt a long putt.

The contest involved putting a golf ball the length of the basketball court while aiming at a small target under the basket. Challenge accepted.

The fan drills the putt on a perfect line. Ninety-four feet later, the ball scoots through the hole on the other baseline.

For the amazing shot, this attendee won a car from an Alabama dealership. He also caused quite the reaction online. Here’s what folks were saying in response to the clip.

One person wrote, “Put him in the Phoenix Open immediately.”

Another fan commented, “Doing it in the frat sweatpants no less.”

Unfortunately, this putting contest was all the Tigers could celebrate on Saturday. Alabama won the game, 77-69, to extend their lead in the SEC standings. Crimson Tide coach Nate Oats poured salt on the wounds of the Auburn faithful after the fact with his postgame comments.

Alabama is now a perfect 12-0 in conference play, and they’ve been projected as a No. 1 seed in Joe Lunardi’s latest Bracketology prediction. Auburn, meanwhile, fell to 7-5 in league play. They’re considered a No. 9 seed in the most recent NCAA Tournament field.
