Well, they’re coming to your citaaaay.

But they’re doing it with a new theme song in tow.

ESPN’s College GameDay surprised fans last weekend when it revealed that Big and Rich’s “Comin’ To Your City” would no longer be the official theme song of the show.

The song was released in 2005 and was revealed as the GameDay theme song the following season. But all good things must eventually come to an end. And this season was that end.

Many fans wondered what would replace the popular theme. Would it be another country song? Pop? Something entirely out of left field.

Well, we got our answer to those questions on Saturday morning.

The new song featured country music stars Darius Rucker and Lainey Wilson, plus rock band The Cadillac Three (whomst?!).

But there was one major problem. While the song itself wasn’t the worst thing that we’ve ever heard, it really wasn’t that much different than the OG version of the of “Comin’ to Your City.”

And fans were quick to take notice.

Others just wanted to know why they refuse to bring back Bubba Sparxx.

Though they may have made a shrewd decision to include Wilson, who went viral last year thanks to her, erm, assets.

Wilson reacted to her new-found viral fame shortly after.

“I can’t even scroll on TikTok on my ‘For You’ page without seeing my fat butt on everything… Whatever brings the people in, go check out my record Bell Bottom Country, happy to have you either way, however you found me, I’m happy you’re here.”

So, what do we think of the new College GameDay theme? Yay? Nay? Was there any reason to switch at all?

Because it sure seems like fans are out on the new track, and there’s a lot of season left to go.
