Sometimes life just isn’t fair. On the other hand, depending on who you are, sometimes it’s glorious. Both cases were true during Week 4 of the NFL season for two fantasy football players.

The winning DraftKings NFL Millionaire lineup in Week 4 edged second place by just 0.20 points. That scant amount was the difference between winning the $1 million top prize and not.

We are talking about a rushing yard here or a reception there being the difference between winning a million dollars and winning whatever the second place prize was. (It’s not clear, but several reports peg it at $100,000. Still a great payday, but a far cry from one million dollars.)

Focusing on the positive, the winner of the one million dollar top prize, user oluseyeajayi1973, spent just $20 on his winning play. That’s a whopping return of 50,000 times his investment.

The winning million-dollar lineup

The winner, who scored 234.20 points (vs. second place’s 234.00 points), didn’t exactly have a conventional lineup. In fact, his lineup relied very heavily on players in the Houston Texans–Dallas Cowboys game.

With 335 passing yards and a passing touchdown, his quarterback, Dak Prescott (21.1 points), finished as the No. 5 quarterback on the schedule with just 5.2% ownership.

CeeDee Lamb (44.3 points), Prescott’s only touchdown target, finished as the day’s top scorer, with over 10 points more than any other player, with 17 catches for 189 yards.

Houston Texans wideout Nico Collins, who missed the last two weeks, ended the weekend as the second-highest-scoring receiver on the schedule with 33.8 points. He caught seven of C.J. Stroud’s eight passes for 118 yards and two scores.

Javonte Williams was one of the big reasons for the win

Despite being on only 1.5% of all lineups, Javonte Williams (31.3 points) had the third-highest point total of any running back. In the Cowboys’ victory, Williams finished with 62 rushing yards and 21 receiving yards on five receptions, including three touchdowns.

Kyren Williams of the Rams, who ran for two touchdowns and 80 yards while catching 10 passes for 67 yards, accumulating 36.7 points, was another player who helped the team win.

The Raven’s Zay Flowers (28.8 points), who was coming back from an injury, was the third receiver in the winning lineup. He grabbed eight of his ten targets for 118 yards and a touchdown.

Additionally, he had tight end T.J. Hockenson of the Vikings, who scored the most points of any tight end by receiving all 13 receptions for 119 yards and 27.9 points.

Throw in Zach Ertz with 3.3 points and the Jacksonville Jaguars defense, which scored 7 points, and it was just enough to defeat user brich34 by 0.2 points and user nole91, who was only one point behind. In the late-game matchup between the 49ers and the Broncos, according to DraftKings, brich34’s entry included George Kittle (17 points) and RJ Harvey (19.3 points), but it still wasn’t enough.

Like we said, sometimes life just isn’t fair. Right, Zestyclose_Main_4658?
