When it comes to college marching bands, there are very few who go as hard as Florida A&M’s Marching 100. Since its inception in 1946, the Rattlers’ band has been credited for 30 innovative techniques that have become standard operating procedures for many high school and college programs.

And they are absolutely lit, all of the time.

As a result of their impressive technique, crisp formations and remarkable rhythm, the band has played at the Super Bowl (multiple times), the Olympics, and inaugural parades for U.S. presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Needless to say, they’re more than legit.

Although marching bands are primarily known for their work on the gridiron and in the battle of the bands, they also show out for their basketball teams. That was the case on Monday night as A&M hosted Jackson State.

Neither team is particularly good this year. However, that did not stop the Marching 100 from leading their team to a three-point win over the Tigers.

At one point during the game, the band broke out into T-Pain’s classic ‘Dance Floor’ and had the place jumping. Unlike football, which is a little bit more buttoned-up, the band members were dancing and singing and going crazy.

It was a party in the stands. Take a look:

If you are unfamiliar with the Marching 100, here is how they break it down during halftime of football games:

And here is the band having some fun with an incredible song selection:

Should you ever have the opportunity to attend a football or basketball game at an HBCU, do it. If not for the product on the field, but for the band at halftime and in the fifth quarter. The same goes for a battle of the bands. Unless you hate fun and good music, they won’t let you down.
