Miami-Dade Sheriff’s deputy Luis Hernandez got his first UFC win in epic fashion.
Last week, Hernandez, an active Sheriff’s deputy in Miami who trains MMA in his time off, earned a UFC contract after a win at Dana White’s Contender Series.

Earlier this week, Hernandez was called in as a late replacement to fight Sedriques Dumas, who has been arrested 14 times in the last 12 years and has faced multiple criminal charges.
On Saturday, Hernandez choked out Dumas in his UFC debut on two days’ notice.
